DROGBA FIRING BLANKS
CHELSEA 1 CELTIC 1
By Martin Lipton Chief Football Writer
DIDIER DROGBA showed a summer away from Stamford Bridge has not helped his shooting skills - as Graham Poll made his return back in the same old routine.
Drogba's failure to take a hat-full of chances against a limited Celtic side was not the way he would have wanted to mark his first outing back in west London since last term.
Jose Mourinho had warned his players in his first programme notes of the season: "What we have achieved in the past two seasons counts for nothing in this one. Now everyone is level with us."
That must have sounded ominous for Drogba, with the giant Ivory Coast frontman having to prove his worth all over again following the arrival of Andriy Shevchenko.
Sinon, beau but de Wrigth Philips :echarpe-o
